Adaora Asala (Roslindale) is a writer, LGBT and Women's Rights activist, and nonprofit social media consultant. She is the founding Director of Queer Women of Color and Friends (QWOC+ Boston), a nationally recognized grassroots organization serving the needs of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and/or queer people of color and allies in New England.  She was recently honored by the History Project as the recipient of the 2010 Lavender Rhino Award and by Fenway Health with the 2010 Trailblazer Award for her contributions to Women's Health.
