Katjana Ballantyne

Class of 2013

Katjana Ballantyne has 25 years of professional experience with established corporations, start-ups and non-profit organizations, she is known for her inclusive leadership style, strategic thinking and her proven ability to organize and lead diverse groups effectively. 
Katjana is an active Somerville community member. She is a long-time resident of Teele Square, co-founded a local business, and has two daughters who are currently in Somerville Public Schools.  Katjana has a long history of volunteering; in the Somerville public schools, at SCALE, as a board member, and former board president of The Somerville Community Corporation (SCC).
Katjana is the Executive Director of Girls’ LEAP based Dorchester, MA, she holds a B.A. in Political Science from St. Michael’s College of Vermont, and she received her MBA with a focus on Entrepreneurship from Suffolk University in Boston.
