Our New Executive Director!

Letter from Puja Mehta, Emerge MA Board Chair
Dear Friend,
Since Emerge Massachusetts launched in 2008, we have trained 155 women to run for office, with 15 women currently running for office this year. We have women serving both in local and state level government. We have implemented an innovative bootcamp training for current candidates, expanded our donor base, and garnered state-wide recognition. Emerge Massachusetts has changed the face of leadership in our state.
With so many great successes, it is now time for Emerge Massachusetts to welcome a new executive director to take us to the next level!
We are so excited to welcome Ryanne Olsen to the Emerge Massachusetts family. Ryanne has spent the past six years working for a variety of Democratic candidates and causes. She comes to Emerge with a deep knowledge of the ins-and-outs of campaigns, having worked on races ranging from Ward Alderman in Somerville to Russ Feingold for United States Senate. Additionally, she has experience working with elected officials as an advocate and lobbyist for adult basic education. We are fortunate to have such a passionate, qualified, and talented woman leading our organization.
We are also happy to announce that Judy Neufeld will continue to work with Emerge Massachusetts as a consultant for the next year, supporting Ryanne and her leadership to ensure the transition is smooth and successful.
On behalf of Emerge Massachusetts, I welcome Ryanne and her passionate dedication to our mission and our work. She officially begins on October 14 but feel free to reach out and welcome her at Ryanne@emergema.org.
Together we will ensure that Emerge Massachusetts will be stronger than ever, and that we continue to identify, motivate and train Democratic women to run for office.
Puja Mehta, Chair
Emerge Massachusetts
