Mara Dolan (Concord) is an attorney with a social work background, who has worked in the District, Juvenile, Probate and Family Courts. Mara was elected to the Massachusetts Democratic State Committee in 2008, and currently serves on the Policy Committee. She is Chair of the Concord Democratic Town Committee and on the Board of Directors of CCTV, the local access cable station, where she was recently awarded Producer of the Year.

City Councilor

Sarah Etelman recently won a seat on the South Hadley Selectboard (thanks, in part, to her Emerge training!). She was previously elected as a councilor on the Hampshire Council of Governments in 2012, and has been an elected Town Meeting member since 2007. Sarah has been the chair of the South Hadley Democratic Town Committee since 2008, and serves on several boards and committees, including the steering committee of the South Hadley Farmers' Market, and the board of Know your Town. Prior to her current position as development coordinator at Girls Inc.

Stephanie was born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts. At age 19, Stephanie became a teen mother, giving birth to her first daughter. Pregnant with her second daughter at age 21, Stephanie was determined to make her responsibilities the reason she would succeed in life and not let it hinder her life. In 2002, Stephanie received her Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Northeastern University. Completing her educational goals, Stephanie earned her Juris Doctorate from Suffolk University Law School in 2008 and was admitted to practice law in Massachusetts the same year.

Margot Fleischman is in her second term as a Selectman in the Town of Bedford. Prior to her election, she served as an elected Planning Board member and on numerous other town government committees. Professionally, Margot has worked in academics and in non-profit settings, and has extensive experience in research, editorial and administrative roles. 
Margot grew up in rural and suburban Pennsylvania, where she attended public schools. She came to Massachusetts in 1989 to attend Harvard University, graduating with a degree in Anthropology in 1993.

City Councilor

Erin Gaudreau is a compliance consultant in the financial services space. A graduate of New England Law | Boston, Erin spent her time in law school as an advocate for marginalized populations through her work with the CORI Initiative and as a student  attorney with the Juvenile Unit of the Rhode Island Public Defender's Office. Erin was first exposed to politics through the work of her mother, a former union leader and community activist in her home state of Rhode Island. Now residing in South Boston, Erin looks forward to being more involved in this diverse community.

Medford School Committee

Sharon made the decision to run, after years as an activist, after her first Emerge weekend. Her Emerge training gave her the confidence she needed to take on the establishment School Committee in her town and the network of support she formed kept her going through a tough campaign. In November 2009, she won a seat on the Medford School Committee beating three incumbents.Sharon Guzik is currently the part-time Administrative Coordinator of the Sustainable Business Network of Greater Boston (SBN).

Andrea specializes in divorce, family law and criminal defense in state and federal trial and appellate courts. After practicing in Miami, Florida, Andrea, a Berkshire County native, returned to the Berkshires to raise her family. In Miami, Andrea was a commercial litigator at Hall, David & Joseph, then practiced criminal defense representing death row inmates.
Andrea was awarded a coveted scholarship to the 2010 National Criminal Defense College Trial Practice Institute (NCDC), the premiere national training program for criminal defense attorneys.
